Join our Volunteer Team

Come and be part of our friendly team. We're based in Worksop, Mansfield and Retford where we help clients overcome the problems they're facing.

Each year, thousands of people rely on us to help them find advice to solve their problems. Our volunteers are at the heart of our service, giving advice as Volunteer Advisers or moving clients forward as Information Support Volunteers.

Volunteer Adviser
What will you be doing?
- Advise clients over the phone, face to face or online to investigate their problems and explore options
- Support clients to take action and resolve their problems, then record how you've helped
The commitment
We’re looking for those who would like to volunteer for longer than six months, and can spare two days a week.
Information Support Volunteer
What will you be doing?
- Welcoming and setting our clients at ease as you book them appointments with our dedicated advisers
- Help with the day to day running of our service, by answering the phone and replying to emails
The commitment
We’re looking for those who would like to volunteer for longer than three months, and can spare at least one day a week.

Citizens Advice

Our network provides free and independent advice in 2,500 locations across England and Wales. Last year 21,600 highly trained volunteers supported the delivery of our work alongside 7,000 paid staff.
